With the humility of a dove and the boldness of a lion she captivates the essence of all who come into her presence. Marilyn leaves an indelible mark on your heart as she mentor women into confident and effective leaders for the kingdom of God.
As founder and Executive Director of W4 Ministries,a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, she empower women to serve God proactively. She hosts one year mentoring programs for Pastor’s Wives and women in their twenties.
She is a published author with her latest release, "I Am Anointed To Help Him". Though written for pastor's wives it is able to empower any woman that is married to a visionary. Her soon to be released book “THE PASTOR’S WIFE INSTITUTE LEADERSHIP MANUAL” 12 week training module will be available at the annual July conference.
Her Christian walk began in 1981 as she served as Head Majorette for Prairie View A&M University. She told God that if he would save her that she would quit the squad and her boyfriend. God answered her prayer and she kept her word. Since that time Marilyn has cleaned church toilets, fed the homeless, done street evangelism, worked in children, youth, teen, radio, praise dance, music, finance, Sunday school, women and single’s ministry.
She also serves alongside her husband Bishop Edward L. Johnson as senior Leadership for Christ Worship Center. Ed and Marilyn have four children ranging from 7 to 26 years of age.
